Barbara and Ray Spencer

Barbara has worked since 1980 as an oncology (cancer) nurse and has dreamed of a Bed and Breakfast and Old Time Photo Studio for years. She opened Vintage Photo Parties in 2004 and has taught etiquette to young ladies and gentlemen with many a costume party and fun-filled photo shoot. Barb has a special place in her heart for her previous cancer patients that lost their hair with treatment but had a hat to wear instead. Now she enjoys ghost writing and event planning for Victorian Country Inn's popular murder mysteries. Her old time photo studio has been "updated"to Roaring 20's costumes and fedora hats with zoot suits with props for the gang. Besides that we had a movie shot here called Marshal Law 3 by Stark Productions and looking forward to another possible movie spin off from Doctor Who. Victorian Country Inn has been acknowledged in a Nancy Drew like series called Murder in Red Rock Canyon Book 5 by Sherry Derr-Wille. Autographed copies are now available in our gift shop (Sideboard Sale in the coffee tea lounge).
She takes children, family, senior portraits with a vintage twist and costumed photography with NEW Roaring 20's Era.

This Historical Country Estate was established in 1896 by Barbara’s Great-Great Grandparents. When she married the “boy next door,” Ray, she acquired 15 acres of the Powell Family Estate. She says she married for LOVE and LAND!

Together they live on and maintain this beautiful 20 acre estate with their mascot, Harley the Duke of Spencer, a Westie Terrier.
